The ongoing fires in California are the biggest wildfire outbreak in the U.S. since 1910. The fires are destroying forests, homes, animal habitat and national parks. More than 100,000 people have been evacuated from their homes and now fear losing their houses to the massive forest fires. The Corona pandemic makes the situation even worse, as people still need to keep a safe distance from each other while seeking shelter in the evacuation centres. The pandemic has also made conditions more difficult for firefighters working around the clock to put out the massive fires.
