Kunnskap og teknologi har gjort det mulig for oss mennesker å utnytte naturen på stadig nye måter, og det aller meste vi bruker i hverdagen, kommer på en eller annen måte fra naturen. Huset vi bor i, varmen og strømmen, maten vi spiser, klærne vi bruker, og alle de ulike tingene vi eier.
